On the Move

More good news. Tiffani got her breathing tubes removed this morning around 6:30 am. We got to go in and see her at the 10 am visitation and she was looking great and talking, but obviously she is very sore and tired. We saw her at the 5:30 am visitation too, but she still had her breathing tube.

We just got word that she is going to be moved out of ICU this afternoon, we are just waiting on a clean room. She is progressing really, really well and is hitting all of her major benchmarks on schedule or ahead.

Her cardiologist Dr. Franklin, told her that yesterday was the easy part, now the hard stuff begins. She will have to begin breathing treatments and sitting up in a chair today. Tomorrow she will continue the breathing treatments then she will be standing and hopefully even walking.

Thank you all again for the support and prayers.

All our love,

Tim

** Ava Update **

Ava is feeling and looking much better today, she doesn't have pneumonia and has returned to her role as the "ultimate niece" and "ultimate distraction".

Cathy Mash sent me the blog address at noon, so I just read all the posts leading up to surgery and now this one. Praise God for His love and faithfulness. I was most excited to read where Tiff said " He is my Chief Surgeon". Every time I prayed for her, for 3 days, including all day yesterday, I had a picture of Jesus doing her surgery Himself, in heavenly places. I would have liked that to have been literally, so that she would not have to physically endure the challenges. However, I feel His purpose in bringing glory to Himself in this process. I could see Jesus, standing to the left of her, near her head, holding the valve in His hand and pronouncing it "perfect", smiling, and humming thoughout the surgery. There was a team of very real people around her, but He was always on the left, near her shoulder and head, directing every member of the team. Last night, about 10 minutes before Cathy called to tell me that she heard from Tony that Tiffani was out of surgery, I was praying and I saw Jesus smile and sit down, so I knew that it was finished and done very well.
I know without doubt, that this is going to be a miraculous recovery, and there will be comments like "we've never seen this before", and "this is remarkable and amazing, because...". God is honoring the prayers of so many, many people.
I'm keeping the warriors in Abilene posted, those who prayed 16 years ago with Marlene, and those who don't even know you. You are greatly loved. Let me say again, You Are Greatly Loved.
We will continue to pray for Tim, Tony, Sunni and Emili, that they will be strong and courageous, and know exactly what to say and do to encourage and bless Tiffani. May God pour out His love, mercy, peace, grace, and joy on you all. Ava has all that, plus charm, already, as is obvious.

We had no doubts that all would go well. Your mom told me something and I will always remember it and to this day I always pray this way. She said,"Once you thank Him, we believe and His work will be done." We love you!!!
