Sneak Peek

Whew...what a weekend!

I have lots to update about - showers, babymoon, etc - but those posts will come later.

This weekend my Dad & Mark came in town to help us put together the nursery. Let me just say, when they come to help - they mean business! If you can't run with the BIG dogs...stay on the porch. They are AWESOME! It was by no means a relaxing weekend, but lots of laughs & lots of fun was had. Hopefully, next time they come to Houston we can all relax & there will be NO tools in sight!

Here is a sneak peak of the nursery because the bedding is still being made, the canvas is still being painted, the curtains are still being sewn, the glider is still being upholstered & knick knacks are still being purchased - but here is the SHELL of the nursery...

Lucy didn't know what to think, but...

she probably hoped this was all for her!

My one assembly project...the changing table!

While I did that, the BIG dogs helped Tim
install our new wrought iron stair rails.
(A VERY challenging task!)

My favorite part of the rails...

Once everything is in place & it is a baby ready I will post more pictures...
like I said this is just a SNEAK PEAK!

We were sad for the weekend to be over,
but happy to be well on our way to a finished nursery!

Thanks Dad & Mark for EVERYTHING - you guys are the best
& we LOVE the way everything turned out!
(In fact, I just found Tim in the nursery admiring our work.)
Alright, I am off to bed...I can barely keep my eyes open.

Blame it on...IKE?

First order of business, I would like to apologize to my husband. He was really sad that I had my LONGEST blog stall after I posted about him painting pottery. Oops! I had begged him to go with me forever & the one time he actually said he would do it AND I blogged about it - I got stuck! For the record, I was there too & here is my pottery to prove it…

I'd like to take a minute to blame my blog stall on a little something we call Ike - as in Hurricane Ike. I had all these intentions of posting about my BFF's bridal shower/bachelorette party, but then Ike happened & we lost electricity for several days. No electricity = no blogging. One thing led to another & I just lost my motivation. So here are some highlights from the past year…

Hello, my name is Tiffani.

It's been awhile.
Actually, it's been 1 year, 1 month & 17 days - but who's counting?

I needed a blog break & let me tell you it was GOOD. I have a lot to catch up on, but I don't have the time tonight…so it will have to wait for another night. BUT, I just wanted to show off my new blog look created by Becky at "Cheese My Head". I am in LOVE with everything about it & I can't wait to start blogging again. If you need a little update on your blog - don’t hesitate to contact her…you WON'T regret it!

Thanks Becky - you are the BEST!!
